Benchmarks
Cross-language microbenchmarks of mvm against Python 3 and Lua (5.4 and 5.1). Run with hyperfine; see the source scripts at github.com/mvm-sh/mvm/bench.
Microbenchmarks are not real-world performance. They isolate a tight code pattern (tight loops, recursion) and can swing meaningfully with hardware. Reproduce locally with make bench in the mvm repo.
